Windies recalled offspinner Ashley Nurse in their 13-man squad for the solitary Twenty20 International (T20I) against England on September 16. Nurse, who last played a T20I in January 2015, will replace Samuel Badree - unavailable due to prior commitments. The island nation retained the rest of the squad that featured against India in the lone T20I in July.

Squad: Carlos Brathwaite (c), Ronsford Beaton, Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Rovman Powell, Marlon Samuels, Ashley Nurse, Jerome Taylor, Chadwick Walton (wk), Kesrick Williams

"We have a good mix of experience and youth that should adapt to English conditions quickly," chairman of selectors, Courtney Browne said. "Coming off the series win against India in the Caribbean in July our expectations is to see the team play a highly competitive game and bring that T20 Caribbean atmosphere to England."

Nurse is yet to pick a wicket in the four T20Is he has been a part of thus far, but remains one of the most important bowlers in the West Indian 50-over circuit. While he was the leading wicket-taker at the Regional Super50 last season, he has failed to replicate similar form in the Caribbean Premier League this year, going wicketless for the Trinbago Knight Riders this season.

Chris Gayle made a comeback to the Windies line-up against India in the July T20I, adding his rich T20 experience to the unit. The opener, who is the highest run-scorer for the Windies in T20Is, became the first batsman in the world to register 10,000 runs in T20 cricket, earlier this year. The squad also boasts of other experienced names like Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Marlon Samuels and Jerome Taylor.
