Sri Lanka set to host Under-19 Asia Cup 2016
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Board on Sunday (September 25) announced that they will host the Under-19 Asia Cup 2016, set to be played from December 8 - 22.
While the tournament itinerary and other details are yet to be finalised, the SLC's executive committee approved in principle the proposal to play three games at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota, the Galle International Cricket Stadium and Matara Uyanwatte Stadium in Matara.
As per the press release issued by the board, the executive committee further ratified the appointment of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) General Manager - Mr. Thusith Perera as the event director and ACC events manager - Mr. Sultan Rana will be the event manager to take the event forward.
